Cabby Liew Yuan Poh was quick to help a passenger load the heavy special-needs stroller in and out of the taxi boot when he noticed that her son suffered from multiple disabilities. He also went the extra mile to waive the taxi fare, which deeply moved the passenger.
Cabby Lim Beng Teck, on 2 May, found a bag containing RMB150,000 (S$29,700). However, by the time Cabby Lim detoured back to the drop-off point, the passenger could not be found. Without hesitation, Cabby Lim headed straight to the Company to return the bag. The grateful passenger rushed down to the office upon hearing the good news and rewarded Cabby Lim S$500 cash for his honesty.
Cabby Lim Chuan Hua had on 29 March picked up a family of four. Not long after they alighted at the National Cancer Centre, Cabby Lim discovered a black handbag on the floor of the front passenger seat. His first thought was to detour back immediately to return the bag right after the next passenger alighted. Luckily, the family had also realised their loss, and reported the matter to the Company. It was only at the Company that Cabby Lim found out the handbag contained S$10,574 and M$340 in cash. He was later rewarded S$100 by the passenger for his honesty.
Mr Tan Koon Ban received a compliment from his passenger which read "Cabby Tan's kindness and honesty made my participation in my best friend's important day possible. He went out of his way not once, but twice in a day, to bestow relief and joy."
A female passenger boarded the taxi driven by Cabby Tan Koon Ban in the hope of detouring home to change before going to her best friend's wedding that was taking place in les than an hour's time. To her relief, Cabby Tab not only got her home under 25 minutes, but waited for her to get ready before conveying her to the wedding in time.
He later discovered a camera she had left behind and returned it, much to her delight. Although the passenger wanted to reward him, Cabby Tan repeatedly refused to accept the token.
